After going winless in three consecutive matches under head coach Manolo Marquez, the Indian men’s football team is set to face Malaysia in an international friendly match on November 18 in Hyderabad. The All India Football Federation (AIFF) announced this on Wednesday, confirming that the match will be held at the Gachibowli Stadium.

Initially scheduled for November 19, the date was advanced by a day, and the venue was finalized. This match will take place during the last FIFA international window of the year, from November 11-19, during which clubs are required to release players for national duty.

Last month, the Gachibowli Stadium hosted the three-team Intercontinental Cup tournament, where India drew 0-0 with Mauritius on September 3 and later lost 0-3 to Syria on September 9. Subsequently, the Indian team traveled to Vietnam to play a friendly match against the hosts on October 12.
