The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has taken action against Mohun Bagan Super Giant following an incident during a recent Indian Super League (ISL) match. In a letter dated March 4, 2024, the AIFF issued a charge notice to Mohun Bagan Super Giant for a violation related to spectator conduct.
The incident in question occurred during Match No. 99 of the ISL 2023-24 season, where Mohun Bagan Super Giant faced off against Jamshedpur FC on March 1, 2024. Prior to kick-off, spectators in the B-2 stand unfurled a tifo with a message reading “Tobacco is injurious to ISL.”

The AIFF Disciplinary Committee has charged Mohun Bagan Super Giant with violating Article 67 of the AIFF Disciplinary Code 2023, which addresses improper conduct by spectators. Such actions include violence, the use of incendiary devices, throwing objects, and displaying insulting messages or images. According to the code, the home club is held responsible for maintaining order among its spectators.

Mohun Bagan Super Giant has been requested to respond to the charge within the specified time frame. The AIFF has emphasized the importance of maintaining order and respect within football matches, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all involved.
